Genners,

Not sure where to put this question, so putting it in the general list.

I, like many, tie back to the KAHANA-SHAPIRA line. I'm just now really
getting into fleshing that out and I've hit a confusing spot.

YECHIEL ASHER SHMUEL KAHANA-SHAPIRA married a CHAYA KAYLA. Some
sources I've come across say her maiden name was ZISSEL. Some say
KRONGOLD. I can't tell which of these other trees really have real
sources of any kind and I don't want to propagate the wrong one in my
tree.

Does anyone have input or insight into this family with any sort of proof?

Thanks!

Fellow Genners,

Not sure how I didn't see this until now, but I think I may have my
answer from the JRI-Poland SIG.

I found what appears to be the family in records in Krakow births, and
it claims the maiden name was KRONGOLD. Since those records come from
actual documents, I'm assuming I can trust those as valid sources. I
will assume the maiden name of KRONGOLD.

If anyone has anything to add to this, please let me know.

Thanks!
