Finding someone in the census in NYC by address

Hi, All -
I need some help finding a possible relative in the US census. The problem is
two-fold: I only have the last name (which is an extremely common one - Rosenthal)
and they lived in Manhattan. I know the exact address in Manhattan and I know they
lived there at least in 1906, but when I do a search in the census, I can't search
by "Manhattan" - only by "New York," which gives several thousand results. I've
found the Enumeration District in the 1900 and 1910 censuses for this part of
Manhattan, but that doesn't help as the censuses for NYC aren't listed that way. Is
there an easier way to find someone in the census if you know their exact address?
Is there a way to find out what the Ward # was in Manhattan in 1900 and 1910,
given the exact street address? Or the Election District in 1900?

Is there an easier way to find someone in the census if you know their exact
address? Is there a way to find out what the Ward # was in Manhattan in 1900 and
1910, given the exact street address? Or the Election District in 1900?

Yes, through Stephen Morse's wonderful tools: use the "Unified Census
ED Finder" (https://stevemorse.org/census/unified.html ) by entering the
city, state and address; narrow down to the exact block by choosing
cross streets off a map (links to Google & Yahoo maps provided). The
tool will then give you the ED for the selected census year.

If you click on the link for the ED, the tool will provide you with more
info, such as the roll and start frame number. Also provided are links
to sites where you may view the images online.
